Biography
Dr. V.K. Gadi is a board-certified medical oncologist with a specialty in breast cancer. He earned a medical degree and a PhD in physiology and biophysics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Gadi completed an internship and a residency at the University of Washington, Seattle. After his residency, Dr. Gadi completed a post-doctoral fellowship in oncology at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle.
Dr. Gadi specializes in caring for patients with breast cancer. His research interests include immunogenetics of and immunotherapy for solid tumors and functional genetics.
He currently serves as Director of Medical Oncology, Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). In addition to assuming the position of director of medical oncology, Dr. Gadi has been appointed Associate Director of Translational Medicine at the University of Illinois Cancer Center. Prior to joining UIC, Dr. Gadi was an associate professor at the University of Washington, Division of Oncology.
