Dr. Boccia is President and Medical Director of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, in Bethesda, Maryland. He holds additional positions as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University, Chief Medical Officer of the International Oncology Network (ION) , Medical Director at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Dr. Boccia completed his medical residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplantation under a combined UCLA-VA fellowship program in Los Angeles. He also completed a fellowship in medical oncology and laboratory research at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine for Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.
His publication credits from a vast drug development research program include more than 150 articles, abstracts, and posters, reporting research results for major clinical trials in several prestigious journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Blood, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Boccia serves on the editorial boards for the Journal of Hematology and Oncology, Community Oncology, Oncology and Biotechnology News, and Targeted Therapies News.
