Dr. Maria Theodoulou is one of the most highly ranked doctors in the United States. She is recognized internationally for her breast cancer research. Prior to joining New York Oncology Hematology, she was an attending physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and a professor of medicine at the Joan and Sanford Weill Medical College of Cornell University, both in New York City. Dr. Theodoulou exclusively sees men and women of all ages diagnosed with early or advanced breast cancer. She offers a multidisciplinary approach grounded in evidence-based recommendations within the most current standards of care.
Dr. Theodoulou has been the recipient of many awards; including TOP DOCS 2019 and 2020 Award, the Hally Yaccino Steiner Award, Outstanding Physician Award, and Clinical Excellence and Community Advocacy in Breast Cancer recognition, as well as the AXIOS Award. She is the program director for the Annual Breast Cancer Symposium in Albany, New York. Dr. Theodoulou also moderates several community-based educational programs for young patients diagnosed with breast cancer, allowing these patients to network and have access to information that will help guide them through the unique challenges they face.
